About the School's Namesake
Levi O. Smith
(1818-1883)
Levi O. Smith was a local industrialist who partnered with George M Landers. In their partnership, Landers & Smith Manufacturing grew and upon his retirement became the famous Landers, Frary & Clark.
Smith served on the Board of Education from 1873 - 1879 and also served as the board's "Financial Agent."

1950s- remodel and addition, 1994- remodel and addition, 2026 - $140 Million Dollar renovation and addition of Early Learning Center. Construction expected to take 24 months.
